Overcoming 7 Big Challenges For Small Church Worship Teams

Congregations are increasingly turning into masses of spectators rather than active participants. What can we do to reverse this trend in our churches and help our congregations really participate and sing?

Truth and spirit crosses denominational lines. We can use songwriting to combine truth and spirit for one unified "Yes" that crosses denominational, generational, and ethnic barriers, so that we can agree on who Christ is and what He's done for us. Our pursuit of unity and glory for God positions the church to be sanctified by the Spirit and become the Bride of Christ who has made herself ready for Jesus return.

For those of us writing Christian songs, the responsibility is immense. In fact, it’s been said that the majority of Christians learn or develop their theology from the songs they sing in church or hear on Christian radio. That means we can’t take the ministry of songwriting lightly. What our songs say is extremely important because we will be held accountable for what our lyrics are teaching people about God (James 3:1). In this session you will learn how to set up and steward a thriving worship songwriting community that shifts culture by writing songs that are grounded in truth and are alive in the spirit.
