About me
Dr. Bill Kirkwood has been involved in the world of leading worship for over 45 years in many different contexts: Baptist, Lutheran, Anglican, Roman Catholic, Jewish Synagogue High Holidays, Evangelical Free church, and most prominently in free churches with contemporary, band-led music. He graduated from the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies in Jacksonville, FL, where his doctoral thesis focused on the dialogical nature of corporate worship. Dr. Kirkwood’s passion is helping all church pastors and worship planners, whether in traditional or contemporary churches, plan worship that engages the worshiper in a life-transforming dialogue with the Living God. His book "Worship Primer for Pastors and Planners: What You Wish You Learned in School" has been recently released, and is available at this conference. Dr. Kirkwood currently lives in Stow, Ohio with his wife Amy. Their three grown sons are all involved in leading worship in their respective churches.
