Qirsten Carter, a Colorado Springs native and the youngest of five, has been a lifelong singer, but it was her father’s advice in high school— to use her gift for the world or for the Kingdom— that set her on a path of purpose. That journey was put to the test when she lost her best friend to a drug overdose shortly after graduation, leaving her relationship with God fractured by grief. It wasn’t until her 6 year stretch in a worship school (she was forced by her mother to attend) where she learned the true conviction of loving God’s people, equipping worship teams & leading worship, that Qirsten rediscovered her faith and reconnected with her calling; leading her to opportunities to open up worship concerts for renowned artists like Todd Galberth, Geoffrey Golden, and Vashawn Mitchell early in her journey.
In 2021, after unexpectedly losing her job during the pandemic, Qirsten trusted the Lord with just $500 in her pocket, and accepted an invitation from Charity Gayle to sing background vocals on the “Endless Praise” album. This opportunity led her to find a second family, be apart of powerful worship nights across the country, and tour internationally. Today, Qirsten serves on staff at Zeal Church, a vibrant, multicultural church in the Pikes Peak region as the vocal development coordinator. She continues to tour with Charity Gayle and her team, and has even had the amazing opportunity to lay down studio background vocals for Grammy-nominated artist, Kelly Clarkson.
When she’s not leading worship or traveling, Qirsten embraces her role as a proud auntie to six little nuggets, finds joy in paddle boarding, snow tubing, exploring new places, and discovering new restaurants and unique flavors as a self-proclaimed foodie.
